I don't suppose that anyone has managed to retain any memories concerning the weekend? Or was everyone affected?
[ his voice is clipped; this entry is short and sweet. .. yeah this is a sensitive subject. ]
Tampering with someone's memory is unforgivable.

I woke up in the clinic on Monday. I know I'd very much like to know what caused that. Until others started commenting on memory loss I thought whatever happened caused me to not recall how I ended up there.

Unfortunately I don't think you're the only case.

Only certain people. Plenty of people weren't harmed at all. Most, in fact.

That would indicate it was likely small in scale and not a group. And since I ended up at the clinic in the plaza, that would indicate I was in the village at the time it happened. But it still leaves many questions.

Too many questions.

Very much so. And I wonder why they took the memories away rather than replacing them. They most definitely can do that and it would make their tampering less obvious.
[As bad as it would be, it would seem that if the Malnosso wanted to cover their tracks better, giving everyone memories of doing normal things for the weekend would make more sense. But then, who knows with the Malnosso.]

Because they obviously don't care. Either it isn't worth their time, or they're simply trying to make a show of their power. Though I suppose that we can't discount the fact that it may be a lapse in power, that they made some sort of mistake. But that seems unlikely.

[Because unlike most of Luceti, Leonhardt isn't fully convinced that the Malnosso as a whole do things just for their own amusement and a show of power. Some may, but it seems more likely that they have grown desperate enough that they care little about what harm is done as long as they eventually accomplish their goal of returning home.]
