[ little kids are just being dropped into luceti all over the place.

this one is dumped near the grocery store. a little blond boy with flippy hair, a schoolboy's outfit, and large green eyes. he has no idea where he is or even what is going on.

but hey, they gave him this book, something like a journal, and barnaby is a bright little genius kid even as a babby so the first thing he does is plop down in front of the building and give it a read. he's a smart cookie so it isn't long before he's able to surmise exactly what this book can do, what it's capable of, what it's for. it takes a little more fiddling for him to figure out how it functions, but soon enough you'll see this cute little kid in your journals okay. ]

Um, excuse me! I'm sorry to be a bother, but I'm not sure where I am.. has anyone seen my parents? Barnaby and Emily Brooks - it's Christmas Eve, I really ought to get back, before they get upset with me..

Nami isn't sure how skittish he might be, so she'll make sure she's in plain sight as she approaches and offers a smile.] Hey. Barnaby, right?

anyway he recognizes her easily enough from the little pictures in the journal, so when nami approaches he breaks into a bright smile, waving his little arm. ]

[She nearly starts walking him off home, but Nami h esitates and thinks it's better to at least let the kid know she's not taking him home to his dad. So she crouches down to his level.]

Your dad's not around right at the moment. I'm gonna see if I can find him, but for now I'll take you to a friend of mine so you're not out here by yourself. Is that okay?

He's very nice! His name's Kotetsu. He's a bit silly at times, but he'll look after you. He's going to cook and everything.

Nope. He's basically just up the street in that big building you can see there. [Well, up the street when you go north on it a bit and then turn, but. A seven floor community building stands out anyway. She points it out.] Right there.

[ barnababby squints and shields his eyes to better view the skyline but yeah, it's kind of hard to miss that building. ]

.. oh, okay! That's not far at all. He knows I'm coming, he's going to make dinner! Do you think he'll let you stay for dinner, too?
